Major multi-agency raids underway as part of SSL fraud probe
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A significant coordinated law enforcement operation, involving multiple elite agencies, is currently underway across Jamaica, with simultaneous raids taking place at four locations in St Andrew and St James.
Authorities confirmed the ongoing action is a direct part of the long-running investigation into the alleged fraud at investment firm Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL). The probe began in 2023 and has now escalated into a major tactical deployment.
The operation is being executed by a joint force comprising the Financial Investigations Division (FID), the Constabulary Financial Unit (CFU), and the Special Operations team from the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC). They are being supported by investigators from the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA).
In a brief statement to the media moments ago, officials confirmed the searches are active and asked members of the public to remain calm and avoid the operational areas in both parishes for their own safety and to allow the work to proceed unimpeded.
The move represents one of the most visible and high-profile escalations in the SSL case to date.
Further updates are expected from authorities throughout the day as the situation develops.
