Pensioner, 91, awaits final missing pension payment after decade-long struggle
Dear Claudienne,
I have read where you have helped many people by solving their problems through your column. I ask for your help.
I am a 91-year-old Government pensioner and I am having problems with the Accountant General’s (AG) Department regarding the non-payment of my pension for four months over the last decade.
My missing payments are as follows: March 2016, March and April 2023; and September 2003. I have reported this over and over again to the office and even travelled from Westmoreland on the March 7, 2025 to the AG office in Kingston to complain about the non-payment. I was told that I would be paid for these four missing cheques at the end of April 2025, but to date they have not done so.
I am a cardiac patient and cannot afford to make another trip to Kingston. It would seem that nobody cares for the elderly.
Thanks for your help.

Dear ME,
Tell Claudienne has been in communication with the Accountant General’s Department and gave three different officers your telephone number. We note that one of the officers actually called you and promised to have the matter addressed. You have informed the column that you received three of the four outstanding payments from the AG’s office at the end of November. However, as you have still not received the March 2016 payment, the column will find out from the AG when it will be paid.
We wish you all the best
