SO2

The — who, what, where, when, why — that you need to know.

The world’s most coveted social calendar isn’t pencilled in; it’s etched in heritage, marked by forums, regattas, and grand prix across the globe. For 2026, it’s less about dates and more about destinations. SO2 opens the social diary.

January begins in Davos, Switzerland at The World Economic Forum’s 56th Annual Meeting (19–23 January 2026) where global leaders across geographies, industries and generations quietly convene.

February moves to St Moritz, Switzerland where every last weekend in January, the world gathers on the frozen lake of St Moritz for something truly spectacular — the Snow Polo World Cup.

Since 1985, the event has united top players, luxury brands, and spectators from every corner of the globe for three unforgettable days of competition and celebration. Surrounded by snow-covered peaks, guests experience the thrill of polo, world-class cuisine, and an atmosphere like no other. This is more than an event — it’s a global meeting point of sport, style, and sophistication.

March is reserved for Hermès’s own equestrian spectacle, the 2026 Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais in Paris, France.

April shifts to Asia, for the Singapore Yachting Festival, a discreet showcase of the world’s most impressive power and sail yachts, scheduled for April 10 – 13, at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove.

May brings the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, at Villa d’Este, Lake Como, a visual celebration of automotive artistry and elegance where there’s no such thing as “too fancy”. Hosted by BMW Group Classic and Grand Hotel Villa d’Este, the May 23–25 tickets for the events at Villa d’Este are limited. The Parade of Historic Cars is, however, open to the public on Sunday at Villa Erba.

June heads to Aspen for the 2026 The Ideas Festival, a quiet magnet for venture capital and old guard families, scheduled for June 22 – July 1.

July is Sun Valley’s secret summer camp for billionaires, where hundreds of the world’s most powerful people in tech, media, and markets, pilgrim to Idaho, for a week of outdoor activities like hiking and tennis – and of course, networking and plenty of dealmaking organised by investment bank Allen & Company. Past participants include Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, and media mogul Oprah Winfrey.

In August, families who’ve owned yachts for generations gather in Massachusetts

for the Nantucket Regatta, a premier annual sailing event featuring various classes of sailboats, from classic wooden boats to modern racers, with days of racing, parties, and ocean conservation efforts.

In September the glitterrati head to England for the Cartier Polo Charity Gala, in Windsor for heritage, horses, and high society. Synonymous with the prestigious Cartier Queen’s Cup, the gala is held annually at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor.

October takes over Venice with the Hospitality Challenge a prestigious annual regatta for large sailing yachts (Maxi Yachts) held in Venice’s inner waters, celebrating sailing, the city of Venice and the finest of Venetian Hospitality.

November is Le Bal des Débutantes, Paris, the renowned, invite-only debutante ball where haute couture-wearing scions of the world’s most elite international families make their debut.

December ends with St Barts’ New Year’s Regatta, where sailboats and yachts at the Gustavia Harbor make the show for a thrilling, fireworks-laced start to the new year!
