ST THOMAS, Jamaica – A driver and his passenger were rushed to hospital Sunday morning after the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a utility pole along the Port Morant main road in St Thomas.
It is understood that about 5 am, the vehicle was traveling along the thoroughfare when, upon reaching an area called ‘Centre Cut,’ the car crashed into the pole on the roadway.
According to residents and motorists, the road is currently under construction, but the pole has not been removed from the roadway, making it a hazard for drivers in the poorly lit area with no adequate warning signs.
