Santa Cruz councillor commends Likkle Miss Foundation for container home donation
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Councillor for the Santa Cruz Division, Christopher Williams, has lauded the philanthropic efforts by the Likkle Miss Foundation in donating a container house and building materials to residents in Burnt Savannah, St Elizabeth.
“A huge thank you to the Likkle Miss Foundation. A week ago on Sunday, December 21, they were in the community of Burnt Savannah, where a container house was handed over to Miss Hopie Luton, a senior citizen whose house was completely destroyed during the passage of Hurricane Melissa,” Williams said in a post on his Facebook page.
“Another senior citizen, Miss Brown, who also lost her house, was provided with all building materials to construct a brand new concrete house with a bathroom. The foundation, headed by Miss Alexander, also provided all materials needed to re-roof the houses of two other senior citizens who also suffered damages during the hurricane. They also distributed mattresses, food, water and solar lights,” added Williams.
He also commended other donors who have been assisting families in the aftermath of the Category 5 hurricane.
