Beauties at Brunch Vision Board Party aims to empower women after Melissa
In the wake of the devastating effects of Hurricane Melissa, many Jamaicans are carrying unexpected emotional weight, including grief, uncertainty, and survivor’s remorse. While relief efforts continue for those directly impacted, the organisers of the Beauties at Brunch Vision Board Party believe it is equally important to create space for healing, hope, and forward momentum.
The Beauties at Brunch Vision Board Party will take place on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel, bringing together women from across the island for an uplifting brunch experience centered on vision-setting, community, and resilience.
“This event is about choosing to rise anyway,” said Sophia Walcott, organiser of Beauties at Brunch. “In difficult times, it’s important to acknowledge our blessings while still honoring the pain around us. Beauties at Brunch is a reminder that dreaming, planning, and joy can coexist with compassion and giving.”
Guests can expect an inspiring atmosphere filled with fierce, unstoppable women dreaming big, setting meaningful goals, and doing it all in style. The event, which runs from 11am to 4pm, encourages attendees to show up authentically—“looking cute, feeling supported, and leaving empowered,” the organisers said.
In the spirit of collective care, attendees are asked to bring non-perishable donation items, which will be collected and delivered by the organisers to a registered charity supporting those affected by Hurricane Melissa.
The Beauties at Brunch Vision Board Party is more than an event—it is a call to community, healing, and intentional growth, organisers said.
