Manchester labourer charged with 2023 murder
MANCHESTER, Jamaica— A Manchester labourer has been arrested and charged with the murder of 34-year-old Glenford Isaacs, who was stabbed to death on School Road, Christiana, in the parish on Monday, April 3, 2023.
Charged is 26-year-old Odane Stewart of Christiana, Manchester.
Reports from the Mandeville police are that about 7:30 pm, Isaacs was at a bar in Christiana when he was attacked by two men, one armed with a ratchet knife, who stabbed him multiple times all over his body.
The police were summoned, and upon their arrival, Isaacs was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation was launched into the matter, which led the police in search of Stewart.
On Sunday, December 28, 2025, lawmen acting on information conducted an operation in Prospect district, Chapleton, Clarendon, where the accused was arrested. According to the police, Stewart was later charged after he confessed to the commission of the offence.
He is to appear in the Mandeville Parish Court on Wednesday, January 7.
