48-hour curfew imposed in sections of Manchester Division
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in the communities of Canewood, Epping Forest, Oxford, Comfort Hall, Breezy Hole, and Auctembeddie in the Manchester Police Division.
The curfew began at 6:00 pm on Monday, January 5, and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 7.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
North: From an area of vegetation 3400 metres along an imaginary line to an area of vegetation bordered by Breeze Hole District.
South: From an area of vegetation 4100 metres along an imaginary line to another area of vegetation bordered by Comfort Hall.
East: From an area of vegetation 5190 metres to an area of vegetation bordered by Waterloo District.
West: From the southern boundary, 5000 metres along an imaginary line to a vegetated area bordered by Evergreen to Roses Valley.
During the hours of the curfew, people within the boundaries are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
