48-hour curfew imposed in sections of Hanover
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of the Hanover Police Division.
The curfew began at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 5, and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 8.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
North: From the entrance of the molasses plant in Elgin Town along imaginary line to the back of Binns Lane
South: From Kew Bridge along the Elgin Town back Road at D to the Aston King Bridge on the Elgin Town main road.
East: From the back of Binns Lane along an imaginary line leading to C at the old Kew Bridge
West: From the Aton King Bridge along the Elgin Town main road to A at the entrance of the molassess plant in Elgin Town
During the hours of the curfew, people within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
