Jamaica Broilers’ Christmas hope delivered in 2025
IT would not be Christmas for Jamaica Broilers Group (JBG) without its annual outreach in the communities of Spring Village and McCook’s Pen, St Catherine.
“At Christmas, we are reminded of the importance of being there for one another. Our annual outreach is about more than giving. It’s about showing up for the elderly and vulnerable in our communities and bringing a sense of hope through practical support,” a company release quotes Human Resources Manager Michelle Lawe.
“We believe in the strength of community and the value of supporting our senior citizens, knowing that simple acts of care can brighten someone’s day and remind them that they are seen, valued, and remembered,” added Lawe.
For 2025 JBG provided meaningful support and seasonal encouragement to more than 300 elderly and vulnerable residents in the communities closest to its operations.
Jamaica Broilers Group volunteers, joined by community representatives, went door to door delivering care packages filled with essential food items, including the A-Grade Whole Chicken, courtesy of Best Dressed Chicken — an important staple for many families’ Christmas meals.
According to Lawe, for many recipients, the packages offered relief and the reassurance that they are not forgotten. This support also came at a time when financial pressures are high, and most corporate relief efforts were focused on the western parishes severely affected by Hurricane Melissa.
