48-hour curfew imposed in sections of St Andrew North Police Division
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 48-hour curfew has been imposed for the communities of Brooks Level and Airy Castle in Stony Hill, St Andrew.
The curfew began at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm Friday, January 09, 2026.
The boundaries of the curfew are:
North – From Golden Spring Road, St Andrew within the imaginary line across Brooks Level Road to the intersection of Airy Castle Road and Bowden Hill Road.
East – From the intersection of Airy Castle Road and Bowden Hill Road to the intersection of Airy Castle Drive and Lipscombe Avenue.
South – From the intersection of Airy Castle Drive and Lipscombe Avenue to the intersection of Stony Hill Road and Seaview Road .
West – From the intersection of Stony Hill Road and Seaview Road to Golden Spring Road, St Andrew.
Persons within the boundaries are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
