Sound selector killed in St Elizabeth ‘gun fight’ with cops
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — Police have identified the man who was killed during an alleged confrontation in Hodges near Black River on Tuesday.
Police named him as Leighton Nembhard, 44, otherwise called “Bigga Don”, a sound selector and resident of Peacock Heights in Black River.
Police said Nembhard engaged cops in a confrontation mid-afternoon on Tuesday.

Reports suggest that assistance was sought from personnel across the St Elizabeth division during a reported standoff between the police and Nembhard.
Police said a Browning 9 millimetre pistol with a magazine containing two 9 millimetre rounds was seized.
Fourteen people have been fatally shot during alleged confrontations with the security forces so far this year.
