48-hour curfew imposed in sections of St Andrew South Police Division
KINGSTON, Jamaica—A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in the St Andrew South Police Division.
The curfew began at 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 8 and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm Saturday, January 10.
The boundaries of the curfew are:
East: From Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield Avenue, travelling southerly to East Avenue, intersecting at Marcus Garvey Drive
South: From the coastline at Marcus Garvey Drive vicinity, East Avenue to Duhaney River
West: From the Duhaney River to Kingston Harbour
North: From Happy Grove community, drawn to Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield intersection following the divisional boundary.
People within the boundaries are being urged to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
