Police identify men killed in fiery Trelawny crash

TRELAWNY, Jamaica — The police have confirmed the identities of the two men who died in a fiery motor vehicle crash along the North Coast Highway in Trelawny on Sunday night.

The deceased have been identified as 33-year-old Romeo Everton Robinson of Whitesands, Cambridge, St James, and 36-year-old Kenrick Anthony Dove of Bogue Village, St James.

According to police reports, Robinson was driving the white Mercedes-Benz motor car, while Dove was a passenger at the time of the crash.

The collision occurred about 9:45 pm along a section of the Cooper’s Pen main road. The vehicle reportedly crashed and subsequently burst into flames, killing both occupants.

Firefighters later extinguished the blaze, and the charred bodies of the two men were removed from the wreckage.

Police say investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
