Recording artiste Antoni Steehl is putting an entertaining twist on the realities of casual relationships in his song aptly titled Friends With Benefits.

Therapy 2025 release was produced by Paul “Patchy” Wright.

“This song tells the story of two people in a ‘friends with benefits’ relationship, built on a mutual understanding of no emotional commitment. As time goes on, one person’s feelings begin to change, leading to new expectations and complicating the dynamics. When it becomes clear that the other party isn’t able to meet these emotional needs, the only option is to walk away from the entanglement,” the singer explained to the Jamaica Observer’s Splash about the song’s meaning.

Since the track’s release, the singer has enjoyed a healthy dose of encouraging feedback, with a lot of love and excitement coming in from listeners. While some people appreciate the exploration of a complicated topic expressed in a unique way and others feel less comfortable addressing the subject, the song has sparked genuine reactions and meaningful conversations, which is exactly what the singer had hoped for.

“My hope was to explore the complexities of friends with benefits relationships and resonate with listeners everywhere. My goal is for it to reach a wide audience both locally and internationally and, ideally, to become a local hit or even chart on Billboard. Ultimately, I want the song to connect with people, get them talking, and leave a lasting impression,” the singer expressed.

Describing his music as lovers’ rock and reggae soul, Antoni Steehl brings a soulful fusion of reggae rhythms and smooth R&B melodies into his music.
