KFC Jamaica says third party vending machine not affiliated with company
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — KFC Jamaica is distancing itself from reports of a third-party vending machine purporting to carry boxed and ready meals from the popular restaurant.
In a statement shared on Instagram on Friday, the company said:
“KFC Jamaica is aware of a third-party-operated vending machine in the Spanish Town area that is offering KFC meals for sale. We wish to inform the public that this vending machine is not operated, endorsed, or affiliated with KFC Jamaica or Restaurants of Jamaica (ROJ) Limited.”
Videos of the vending machine, which carries the branding “Zoups, automated fresh hot meals”, went viral recently via TikTok.
Reportedly located in Spanish Town, the machine has sticker decals advertising not just KFC, but Burger King, Island Grill, Chicken and Tings, Pizza Hut, Quick Chick, and Popeye’s.
