January 4, 2026 marked the fifth anniversary of the passing of Gordon “Butch” Stewart, Jamaica’s ebullient, generous and patriotic businessman. Beginning this Sunday, January 11, 2025, the Jamaica Observer will publish a four-part series of articles recalling actions of “The Chairman” that inspired the nation and written by award-winning journalist Desmond Allen.
