Female cop receiving medical treatment after being mowed down by taxi driver

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A policewoman is now receiving medical treatment at hospital after she was mowed down by a taxi operator on Friday afternoon at the intersection of Hope Road and Lady Musgrave Road in St Andrew.

Observer Online understands that the incident occurred sometime after 5 pm.

The Constabulary Communications Network, the communications arm of the Jamaica Constabulary Force has confirmed that the policewoman is admitted to hospital and is undergoing treatment.

The extent of her injuries was not revealed.

It was also not revealed whether the taxi driver had been arrested or charged.
