It was 11:59!
Adults, college students, and young professionals all made 11:59 Champagne Wishes All-White party their choice for ushering in the new year.
Held at Police Officers’ Club on Hope Road, the event was already rocking when this writer entered the venue at 11:45 PM.
By the time the clock struck midnight, the fireworks display got underway and all heads and eyes angled skyward — and in with the new year, 2026.
Tasked to provided the musical vibrations, King Style and DJ Heatwave worked up a frenzy dishing out dancing anthems, among them a few by Elephant Man, Ding Dong, Bling Dawg, and Serani.
A soca segment was also well received until JR Stinga took over duties and proceeded to acelerate the vibes.
Alpha C was also in fine form, as patrons danced like there was no tomorrow.
Event promoter Henry Braham said the 20-year-old event continues to attract patrons from near and far.
“We have patrons coming in from St Thomas, even two people from Atlanta are here, and some from Montego Bay. We are happy with the turnout that we got and thank the sponsors that came on board like, Double Seven, Legend Beer, Refresh Spring Water, to support the vision.
This staging was all about the grown, mature, and classy. Non-stop vibes and positive energy,” Braham told the Jamaica Observer.
