St Catherine taxi operator charged with murder
St CATHERINE, Jamaica – A St Catherine taxi operator has been charged with murder following the stabbing death of a man in Portmore, St Catherine on July 25, 2025.
Charged is 33-year-old Lloyd Armstrong, otherwise called ‘Juju Frass,’ of Taurus Drive, Gregory Park, St Catherine.
Dead is 45-year-old Damion Lawrence, otherwise called ‘Trainer,’ a taxi operator of Eltham Park, Spanish Town, St Catherine.
Reports from the Portmore police are that about 6:15 pm, Lawrence and Armstrong had an argument, following which Armstrong used a knife to inflict several stab wounds to his upper body. He was taken to the hospital, where he died while being treated.
An investigation was launched, and Armstrong turned himself in to the police in the presence of his attorney and was subsequently charged.
His court date is being finalised.
