Sergeant Georgia Chambers-Dawson laid to rest
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s (JCF) Protective Services Division gathered on Saturday, January 10, to commemorate the life of late Sergeant Georgia Chambers-Dawson during a thanksgiving service held at the Rudgemount United Church in Mandeville.
Sergeant Chambers-Dawson, who passed away in November 2025, devoted 25 years of dedicated service to the JCF.
During the service, tributes were offered on behalf of the governor general, read by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Michael Morris, who also delivered the eulogy highlighting Sergeant Chambers-Dawson’s commitment, professionalism and contribution to the force.
Additional tributes were shared by her batchmates and a remembrance was also delivered by family friend Shavena Curtis.
Following the service, interment took place at the Melrose Cemetery.
