St Andrew man charged with possession of prohibited weapon
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A St Andrew man has been arrested and charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.
He is 21-year-old De-ario Case of the Cavalier District in St Andrew.
Reports are that a team of policemen were on patrol along the Airy Castle Road in St Andrew on Monday, January 12, at approximately 10:30 pm, when they saw a man on a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction.
He was reportedly signalled to stop, but instead made a U-turn. He was then chased by the lawmen and apprehended.
During a search of a cross-body bag, a prohibited weapon fitted with a magazine was reportedly found, as well as two bank cards belonging to a female.
Case was arrested and charged.
His court date is being finalised.
