Welder mowed down in Manchester hit-and-run

MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A man died as a result of injuries he sustained in a suspected hit-and-run crash on the Chudleigh main road in Manchester on Wednesday morning.

Police have identified the victim as Mark Sinclair, a welder and resident of Struan district in Manchester.

A police report said about 12:30 am Sinclair was walking on the Chudleigh main road when he was mowed down by a vehicle which did not stop.

The Manchester traffic department and Area Three Accident Investigation and Reconstruction Unit are probing the incident.
