Beverage giant Wisynco Limited on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 commissioned its new state-of-the-art brewery and manufacturing facility at Lakes Pen in St Catherine.
The multi-purpose production complex — said to be the first of its kind in Jamaica — marks a major milestone in local manufacturing. Equipped with four production lines, the facility is currently the only one in the country capable of producing carbonated soft drinks in cans, while also having the capacity to manufacture beer, wines, rum mixes and other ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages.
Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness, who attended and led the official opening activities, lauded the company’s latest expansion, noting it as a significant step aimed at strengthening national production whilst boosting economic growth, innovation and local value creation.
