Jamaica’s high schoolboys to kick-start Youth Classic title challenge
Jamaica’s All Schools players are start their participation in the Caribbean Americas Soccer Association (CASA) Youth Classic at Lauderhill Sports Complex in Florida, United States, with a match against Tekkerz, set to kick off this evening at 8:30.
The 22-member squad, to be guided by coaches Keon Broderick and Omar Wedderburn, left the island on Thursday. The Jamaicans are expected to play two games for a place in the final, which is set for Sunday.
On Saturday, the Jamaican team is to scheduled to take on ESP. The other group features Plantation, Rush and CASA All-Stars.
Seven players from ISSA rural area daCosta Cup champions St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) were selected in the squad. Urban area Manning Cup winners Excelsior High have five players. Jamaica College, the Manning Cup finalists, got three selections.
