Three first-time invitees in Reggae Boyz squad to play Grenada
KINGSTON, Jamaica— Interim head coach Rudolph Speid has included three first-time invitees to the 24-man Reggae Boyz who will face Grenada in a friendly international in Grenada on Sunday.
Former youth international Nico Brown, a fullback who plays with Lexington SC in the United Soccer League, and local-based midfielders Nickyle Ellis and Dwight Merrick were part of the team that left the island on Friday.
Thirty-four-year-old Corey Burke, who has scored nine times for the Reggae Boyz, makes a return to the team that will also see other US-based players such as Dwayne Atkinson, Deshane Beckford and goalkeeper Amal Knight.
Grenada is coached by former Portmore United captain Anthony Modeste.
