X, formerly Twitter, services restored
X, formerly Twitter, services have been restored after the platform appeared to have suffered a major outage on Friday.
The disruption, which began sometime after 10:00 am, affected both web-based and mobile users.
X officials have not yet addressed the outage, but several users have since taken to the platform to complain.
“I have been using this app for the past six years and I have never seen Twitter go down this often. X literally crashes every day,” one user wrote.
“Twitter was down for 30 minutes. I almost had to touch grass,” another said.
Tracking website Down Detector had showed a huge spike in reports of problems at X at around 10:00 am.
