‘Blackhead’ killed after pointing gun at cops, say police
KINGSTON, Jamaica — More details have emerged about Saturday’s fatal shooting of wanted man Devar Hodges on Jacques Road in Mountain View, Kingston 3.
Hodges, otherwise called ‘Skeddo’ and ‘Blackhead’ from Browns Town, St Ann, was reportedly shot dead after he allegedly pointed an illegal firearm at the police.

The weapon, a black Jimenez Arms Inc pistol with a magazine containing seven live 9mm rounds, was reportedly seized from the now-deceased.
Reports reaching Observer Online indicate that around 5:30 am, the Kingston Eastern police entered the premises where Hodges was staying and saw a female run from a room.
The officers entered the room and Hodges, upon being accosted, reportedly pointed a firearm at the lawmen, who took evasive action and shot him.
He was transported to the Kingston Public Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Hodges was wanted in the St Ann Police Division for wounding with intent and was recently featured on the JCF Wanted Wednesdays Campaign.
The Independent Commission of Investigations (Indecom) visited the scene and commenced an investigation.
