TC’s ‘anglings and trianglings’

TC’s ‘anglings and trianglings’

Influencer throws 30th b’day bash today; excited about next chapter

In her early years as a popular face in the entertainment industry, Keticia “TC” Chatman’s steps were led by the pulsating rhythms of the dancehall. As a dancer, she followed the genre’s beat passionately until her effervescent personality pulled her into a completely different realm. Today, having blossomed into one of Jamaica’s most popular influencers and media personalities, TC is dancing to the beat of her own drums.

As she prepares to celebrate her 30th birthday this weekend, she believes her journey in the entertainment sphere has come full circle, perfectly aligning her with her purpose.

“Thirty feels like alignment — knowing who I am, trusting the journey, and walking fully in my purpose… I know who I am, and I’m really excited about this next chapter. When I look back at how much growth happened in my 20s, it adds a deeper meaning to the celebration as I move into my 30s,” she told the Jamaica Observer.

“This year I’m focused on building consistently, growing my brand, creating meaningful experiences and stepping more confidently into my purpose. More than anything else, I want to keep evolving and showing up as my best self,” she added.

The woman who once considered a career in early childhood education says she hopes her journey stands as a testament to the power of intentional rebranding and courage. Outlining that she has faced her fair share of roadblocks, TC says she’s jumping into the next phase of her life with happiness.

“This year is all about elevation. I’m focused on growth. I’m levelling up my brand in 2026. I’m also launching my clothing website very soon, so everyone can look out for that as well. I’m happy, and so this weekend, it’s all about sharing that happiness with my supporters, the people who have been with me at every stage of this journey. We’re going up together,” she said.

‘Show Off Your Melanin’, TC’s official birthday event, is set to take over the National Stadium parking lot this Saturday. The annual event is expected to deliver top-tier vibes through what TC described as “big energy and good music” from a line-up of top-notch DJs.

“You know we have our top-tier DJs Shukkle Bus & Fast Car, Panhead & Spracket, DJ Banka alongside DJ Poppi, plus live performance by the one and only ‘Top Gyal’ Shaneil Muir, so yuh know a nuh nothing normal. A anglings and trianglings,” she charged. “I also want to big up my team at this time: Rum Bar Rum Cream, Legend, Red Bull, Major Marketing, and, of course, my amazing partner who is making sure everything is sent and ready.”

Encouraging patrons to come dressed in their favourite shades of brown, TC said she has always been an advocate for authenticity and owning one’s brown skin. The influencer said ‘ Show Off Your Melanin’ is more than a party; it’s part of her brand.

“Show Off Your Melanin goes beyond being a party. People come dressed to express themselves with a deeper message about self-confidence, self-love, and embracing who you are without apology,” she said. “That authenticity is what keeps people connected to the event year after year, and I love seeing my beautiful brown sister and brothers all dressed up in shades of brown. Show Off Your Melanin is about pride and presence, and once people hear anything melanin-related, I want TC to be the first thing that comes to mind.”
