Turbulence promises even more in 2026
Driven by a personal mission of intentionality, entertainer Turbulence said he spent most of 2025 globe-trotting as he continues his musical ambassadorship.
After a year of relentless stages and international spotlights, the singer is ready to shift his energy inward.
In 2026, creativity takes centre stage. With several singles already taking shape and a new album on the horizon, Turbulence promises an abundance of fresh sounds.
“Last year I was out of the country a lot sharing my music with the world. I was in Africa, did some time in the Bahamas, I was down in Guadeloupe for a bit just enjoying life and just using music to heal myself and others,” he told the Jamaica Observer. “I have a lot of singles coming out this year. There’s one already out called Fancy Suit, and a whole lot more in store. I also have lots of visuals coming and an album that will hit the streets shortly. So just a lot to look forward to from Turbulence this year.”
Outlining that it becomes difficult to strike the balance between time spent in the studio and on stage, the entertainer says artistes must toe that line carefully, ensuring neither aspect suffers, as both are vital to their success.
“People should know that many times, when they’re not hearing the artistes, they’re outside working; but yes, we have to maintain balance in every aspect of our careers. For example, this year I explained that I have a lot of new music coming out, but I’m also going to go on a European tour. So if you don’t hear anything from me for a while, we’re still here just working in another way,” he said.
With that said, the entertainer says he understands his musical mission goes far beyond vocal ability, or even the stage, and so he also aims to ensure his messages resonate with audiences worldwide.
“We must keep grounded as artistes, not losing sight of our mission, which is to keep a person in touch with their morals, that’s the best thing you can do,” he said. “I want my songs this year to remind people of who they are, sons and daughters of a king, and we should act accordingly in love and unity.”
He explained that having been birthed from what today’s generation of entertainers may label as ‘old school’ ideologies, he knows that it is the message beneath the music that will ultimately stand the test of time. He expressed that’s why the work of legends such as Beres Hammond, Cocoa Tea, Sizzla Kalonji, Luciano, and more continues to transcend time.
“All those people were masters of the music that I was around coming up in the music, and they taught me to make timely songs, to make songs from everyday life, to be real with yourself and sing from the heart. That’s what makes my music timeless in my opinion,” he said, offering a word of advice for up-and-coming artistes.
“Love your craft, respect your craft, and don’t just come hustle. Know that you’re not singing just for yourself, and know whatever you say or sing might haunt you 10 years from now. That’s what I always tell myself, so I sing positivity so my kids can know I stood for something,” the artiste charged.
