Last Possession goes one better
AFTER finishing second behind You’re My Sweetie on December 26, 2026 over six furlongs (1,200m), Last Possession returned and went better in a Maiden Condition Race for native-bred four-year-old and upward fillies on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Going 5½ furlongs (1,100m),Last Possession, trained by Anthony Dixon, made one move to brush aside the competition by eight lengths in a time of 1:09.4 (25.0 x 49.4 x 1:02.4).
Last Possession shot to the front at the off and held the lead ahead of Atila (Samantha Fletcher),
Shan Shan (Tevin Foster), and Life is Light (Chris Mamdeen). When Raddesh Roman asked
Last Possession to run navigating the half-mile (800m) turn, the bay filly accelerated and powered home easily ahead of Shan Shan and Atila.
