Motorists ticketed in St Catherine urged to clear outstanding matters on ‘Ticket Day’
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Judiciary of Jamaica has announced a Traffic Ticket Public Day at the St Catherine Parish Court as it urges motorists with outstanding traffic tickets who missed their court dates to register to have their matters brought before the court.
In a press release on Tuesday, the judiciary said the initiative is in an attempt to clear the backlog and improve service delivery in the parish courts.
Set for March 4, 2026, it will give motorists who received tickets in the parish from February 1, 2018 onward and missed their court date, a structured opportunity to have outstanding matters addressed.
Chief Justice Bryan Sykes noted that the Traffic Court Public Day in St Catherine is part of a wider national effort to strengthen court operations and establish approaches that can be replicated across the island.
“With the success that we have had in Kingston, and hopefully St Catherine and soon in St James, we will be able to do the same, not just for traffic courts across Jamaica, but other services that we provide.”
Registration for the Traffic Ticket Public Day opened Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 8:30 am and closes Friday, February 20, 2026 at 12:00 midnight.
Interested drivers can register by sending their name, TRN and ticket details via email to traffictickets@jamaicajudiciary.gov.jm, via WhatsApp to 876-453-5060 and in person at the St Catherine Parish Court
