48-hour curfew imposed in sections of St Mary

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of the St Mary policing division.

The curfew began at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 21, and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm on Friday, January 23.

The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:

WEST: From Kampla Drive in the Tyall Housing Scheme, along an imaginary line to the intersection of the Free Hill and Oxford roadways.

SOUTH: From the Free Hill and Oxford roadway intersection, along an imaginary line to the intersection of Geddes Town and Sand Hill.

EAST: From the Geddes Town and Sand Hill intersection, along an imaginary line to the Cross Road in Top Oxford.

NORTH: From the Cross Road in Top Oxford, along an imaginary line back to the fording at Kampla Drive in the Tyall Housing Scheme.

During the hours of the curfew, individuals within the boundaries are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
