Digicel celebrates excellence at S Hotel and Sunset on the Palm
FRESH from being recognised among the region’s top hotels, S Hotel and Sunset on the Palms recently welcomed the Digicel Jamaica team for a courtesy visit rooted in shared values, thoughtful leadership, and a commitment to high standards in service.
The visit followed recent international recognition for the properties, reinforcing the standards and consistency that continue to guide their operations.
Led by Stephen Murad, CEO of Digicel Jamaica, the visiting team included Tashima Walker, general manager for Digicel Business; and Joy Clark, stakeholder engagement manager and chair of the Digicel Foundation.
The team met with hotelier Christopher Issa, owner of S Hotel and Sunset on the Palms, and his son Thomas Issa, group manager.
The discussions centred on Issa’s management philosophy, shaped by strong values, people-first thinking, and the belief that success is an evolving journey.
Discussions also touched on origin stories, the road to growth, and the idea that rebuilding with values matters just as much as constructing physical spaces.
Beyond business, the exchange was grounded in culture and connection.
From shared elements of Jamaican heritage to candid dialogue on growth, development, and long-term partnership, the visit reinforced the strength of alignment between Digicel and its hospitality partners.
As long-standing clients of Digicel with a relationship spanning more than a decade, S Hotel and Sunset on the Palms continue to reflect what is possible when reliable connectivity supports not just operations, but the experiences and relationships that define service excellence.
