Trelawny police on scene of fatal accident in Braco
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — Police are on the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash that took place along the Braco main road in Trelawny on Thursday afternoon.
One person has been confirmed dead, while two others were rushed to hospital for treatment. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
Preliminary reports indicate that the collision occurred shortly after 4:00 pm and involved a Toyota Fortuner and a Suzuki Jimny motor car. The deceased was reportedly travelling in the Fortuner.
Traffic in the area has been slowed as investigators process the scene.
The latest tragedy comes just days after two unidentified people were killed in a fiery crash along a section of the North Coast Highway in the parish on Sunday, January 4, highlighting ongoing concerns about road safety in Trelawny.
Police are continuing their investigations.
