Disciplinary actions taken by JRC stewards

The stewards announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, Unit 15-17 Big Buy Plaza, Portmore, St Catherine, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Jockey Shane Richardson, who rode Oro Oro in the eighth race on Saturday, January 3, 2026 was fined $12,500 for the excessive use of his whip.

Jockey Jerome Innis who rode Mamma Mia in the 8th race on Thursday, January 1, 2026 was fined $10,000 for the intimidation and interference caused to Digital One in the vicinity of the 200-metre point.
