Bus conductor charged after allegedly stabbing man with screwdriver
KINGSTON, Jamaica – A 22-year-old bus conductor has been charged by police after allegedly injuring another man with a screwdriver.
Charged with wounding with intent is Brandon Rickets of Kingston 5, following an incident on Orange Street in downtown, Kingston, on January 20.
Reports from the Central Police are that about 3:10 pm, Rickets and another man had an argument, which escalated into a fight.
During the fight, Rickets reportedly used a screwdriver to inflict stab wounds to the man, which resulted in the man being hospitalised in serious condition.
Rickets was nabbed shortly after the incident and later positively identified on an identification parade. Following a question-and-answer interview, he was formally charged.
His court date is being finalised.
