Man found dead near Highgate Post Office
ST MARY, Jamaica – St Mary police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a man’s body in the vicinity of the Highgate Post Office in the parish over the weekend.
According to reports, the body of the man was found behind the post office about 2:00 pm on Saturday. He was last seen alive at his home in the Highgate area about 9:15 pm on Friday.
The police were summoned and, upon their arrival, they observed the body of a male lying on his back with what appeared to be a wound to the upper part of the head.
The body was transported to the Port Maria Hospital, where death was pronounced.
