48-hour curfew imposed in sections of St Andrew
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in the St Andrew South policing division.
The curfew began at 6:00 pm on Monday, January 26, and will remain in effect until 6:00 pm Wednesday.
The boundaries of the curfew are:
NORTH: From Happy Grove community drawn to Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield intersection following the divisional boundary.
SOUTH: From the coastline at Marcus Garvey Drive vicinity East Avenue to Duhaney River.
EASTt: From Chisholm Avenue/Maxfield Avenue traveling southerly to East Avenue intersecting at Marcus Garvey Drive.
WEST: From the Duhaney River to Kingston Harbor
People within the boundaries of the curfew are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
