70-y-o Norwegian woman dies in St Ann car crash

ST ANN, Jamaica — A 70-year-old Norwegian woman succumbed to injuries sustained after she was reportedly hit by a motor vehicle along Milford Road, Ocho Rios, St Ann on Sunday.

She has been identified as Torill Oyen-Jarrett of Prostables Vie, Skedsmokorset, Norway.

Reports are that the crash occurred when a 1989 Blue Toyota Corolla motor car, driven by a 24-year-old farmer of Walkerswood, St Ann, collided with her vehicle.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s (JCF) tourism liaison officer was informed and the Ocho Rios traffic department is investigating.
