JPS contractor dies after falling from ladder
TRELAWNY, Jamaica — A contractor employed by the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) has died after falling from a ladder while on the job in Trelawny on Monday afternoon.
The circumstances that led to the fall have not yet been determined.
Observer Online sources have identified the deceased as 66-year-old Courtney Robinson of Mandeville, Manchester.
According to residents, about 4:00 pm, Robinson was carrying out work in the Butt Up Town, Albert Town area in the southern section of the parish when he fell from a ladder and sustained serious head injuries.
He was later pronounced dead.
The Constabulary Communications Network (CCN) has confirmed the incident but could not provide detailed information.
