We wrap the sights from The Masters of Medicine Conference, an initiative of Heart Institute of the Caribbean (HIC) Foundation, co-hosted with Yale Cardiovascular Medicine department, under the theme ‘Bridging the Divide: Tackling Obesity and Genetic Heart Disease in the Era of Preventive Cardiology’. The conference ran January 17-18 at AC Hotel Kingston, with a swanky black-tie affair scheduled on the evening of the 17th at Devon House Front Lawns.
‘Palm Noir’ — the Harlem Glamour-themed event — was both a celebration of cricket legend Chris Gayle, who received the HIC Foundation Trailblazer Award, and a nod to the medical professionals responsible for advancing cardiovascular education, prevention, and equitable care.
