Lamonth Rochester moves to Serbia
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Former Manchester High and Cavalier Soccer Club (SC) player Lamonth Rochester joins Serbian club Radnicki FC in the January transfer window after leaving Club Tijuana U21 in Mexico.
The 22-year-old wingback who played for the Reggae Boyz once in a friendly international after representing the nationals Under- 17 and Under-20 teams was optimistic about his move to the team sitting eighth in the 16- team Serbian SuperLiga.
“I have a good experience behind me. Hoping for a good season to help the team move up the table, to finish the rest of the season successfully and bring positive energy and results to the team,” he said.
“The team looks very good in training at the moment, great competitive spirit prevails. We have many players in the same positions, so in training there is a constant fight for a place, which is good because the quality is high,” he added.⁸ “We spent two weeks in Turkey where we got to know each other well, which is very significant for the team. “I hope I can help the team in the future.”
Rochester, who attended Angelina Community College, also played for MLS II teams Chicago Fire and Mexican team Dorado Sinaloa.
