Hyde replaces Reynolds at Harbour View
Lenworth Hyde has replaced Vassell Reynolds as head coach of struggling Harbour View FC for the remainder of the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League season.
Hyde will be the third coach this season as the Stars of the East started the 2025/2026 season in September with Byjeon Thomas before he was replaced by Reynolds in November.
Harbour View are sitting in the relegation zone in 13th spot on 15 points, suffering nine defeats and recording just three wins from 18 games.
When Reynolds took charge, they were in 12th spot on eight points from eight games.
Reynolds got one win against Spanish Town Police (5-2) and drew four games against Montego Bay United (4-4), Molynes United (0-0), Racing United (0-0) and Waterhouse (1-1).
They led promoted Treasure Beach 3-0 but lost 3-4. That was quickly followed by a 2-4 defeat to Dunbeholden FC.
Only the promoted Spanish Town Police are doing worse currently, at the bottom of the league on nine points from 19 games.
The coaching team of Reynolds and his assistant Keon Broderick was believed to be a team made in heaven as they are the last two winning coaches of the urban Manning Cup and all-island Olivier Shield competitions.
Reynolds led Kingston College to the 2025 title and Broderick did likewise with Excelsior High in 2026.
However, the positive results never really came despite starting with a four-game unbeaten run, and the 2022 champions have now slipped into the relegation zone.
