Sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson arrested for speeding

FLORIDA, United States — Olympic gold medallist Sha’Carri Richardson has been arrested for speeding in Florida, according to United States (US) media reports.

A report from ABC News indicated the athlete had been brought into custody on Thursday in Orange County, Florida, for dangerous, excessive speeding.

The report indicated that this is considered driving faster than 100 miles per hour.

Richardson had previously been arrested at a Seattle airport in 2025 after an altercation with her partner, Christian Coleman.

She is currently being held at the Orange County Jail on a $500 bond, the report indicated.
