Reading to Anchovy road to be closed on Sunday
ST JAMES, Jamaica—The National Works Agency (NWA) says the Long Hill to Anchovy main road in St James will be closed to facilitate maintenance work on Sunday.
According to the NWA, the Reading to Anchovy roadway in the vicinity of the Anchovy and Comfort Hall intersection will be closed between the hours of 9:00 am and 6:00 pm.
The closure is to facilitate the cleaning of drains, removal of debris, and the patching of a scoured section of the roadway. The agency noted that only articulated vehicles will be allowed access to the area during the period.
The detour route will see motorists travelling from the Montego Bay direction towards Anchovy, utilising the Bogue Hill through Comfort Hall into the Anchovy roadway.
The reverse applies to motorists travelling in the opposite direction.
During the period, motorists are being advised to obey the posted warning signs and instructions of the police and flag personnel.
