Jamaican rally driver joins JMMC’s recovery initiative
The Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club (JMMC) has announced that Jamaican rally driver Horatio Brown has officially joined the Club’s #RallyForRecovery initiative, further strengthening Jamaica’s presence on the regional and international motorsport stage while supporting national recovery efforts.
Brown will contest the full 2026 Barbados Rally Championship (BRC) season piloting his Citroën C2 S1600. His car will feature a striking livery draped in Jamaica’s national colours and displaying the #RallyForRecovery message, a powerful symbol of the country’s resilience and ongoing recovery following Hurricane Melissa.
The #RallyForRecovery initiative is a JMMC-led campaign designed to leverage motorsport as a platform for national solidarity and international awareness. One hundred per cent of funds raised through the initiative are directed to supportjamaica.gov.jm, Jamaica’s official disaster recovery portal, ensuring full transparency and meaningful national impact.
Brown’s participation follows the successful launch of the project earlier this year, which saw a Jamaica-branded Citroën C3 Rally2 campaigned by Italian American rally competitor Filippo Marchino at the 2026 Monte Carlo Rally, held from January 22-25. That debut marked the initiative’s first international appearance and laid the foundation for continued global visibility.
The JMMC said it welcomes Horatio Brown to the #RallyForRecovery family and commends his commitment to representing Jamaica with pride, purpose, and competitive spirit throughout the 2026 season.
The club also said it encourages Jamaicans at home and abroad, along with motorsport supporters worldwide, to follow the journey, share the message, and stand with the nation under the banner of #RallyForRecovery.
