Man shot and injured in Mount Salem

ST JAMES, Jamaica — A man has been rushed to hospital after he was shot and injured in Mount Salem, St James on Tuesday afternoon.

According to reports, the man was shot on the main road in the community in the vicinity of Brunswick Lane.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unclear. Sections of the roadway have been cordoned off as the police carry out their investigations.

Reports suggest that the man was trailed and armed men attacked him by firing shots. His condition is considered serious.
