48-hour curfew imposed in sections of Manchester
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of the Manchester policing division to include the communities of Comfort Hall, Auctembeddie, Epping Forest, Evergreen, and Oxford.
The curfew began at 7:10 pm on Wednesday, February 4, and will remain in effect until 7:10 pm on Friday.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:
North: From an area of vegetation at the northern boundary along an imaginary line to an area of vegetation at the eastern boundary. This boundary is bordered by Breeze Hole district.
East: From an area of vegetation at the northern boundary to an area of vegetation at the southern boundary. Bordered by Waterloo district.
South: From an area of vegetation at the eastern boundary along an imaginary line to another area of vegetation at the western boundary. This area is bordered by Comfort Hall.
West: From the southern boundary along an imaginary line to a vegetated area at the northern boundary. This area is bordered by Evergreen to Rose’s Valley.
During the hours of the curfew, people within the boundaries are required to remain indoors unless otherwise authorised by the ground commander.
