Rush Sports secures Caribbean broadcast rights for Winter Olympics

Rush Sports secures Caribbean broadcast rights for Winter Olympics

Caribbean sports broadcaster Rush Sports is the official broadcast rights holder in the region for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

In a press release on Thursday, Rush Sports said it will deliver live and delayed broadcasts, daily highlights and digital content across its TV and streaming platforms for the duration of the Winter Olympics, taking place from February 6 to 22, 2026 in Italy.

Jamaican audiences can watch Rush Sports through various cable providers.,

The broadcaster says its landmark acquisition reinforces its commitment to delivering world-class international sporting events to Caribbean audiences.

It noted the historic qualification of both Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago in the four-man bobsled, the first time two Caribbean teams will be competing in that event.

Rush Sports also noted that Trinidad & Tobago also makes history at Milano Cortina 2026 with qualification in both bobsleigh and Alpine Skiing, fielding a seven-member team and expanding the nation’s Winter Olympic footprint.

The roster of Caribbean athletes at Milano Cortina 2026 includes:

Men’s & Women’s Bobsleigh:

— Jamaica: – Shane Pitter, Joel Fearon, Nimroy Thurgott, Junior Harris, Tyquendo Tracey, Andrae Dacres, Mica Moore

—  Trinidad and Tobago:  Axel Brown, Shakeel John, De Aundre John, Xaverri Williams, Micah Moore

Alpine Skiing Giant Slalom & Slalom:

— Jamaica: Henri Rivers IV

—  Trinidad and Tobago: Gatcliffe and Nikhil Alleyne

“The Olympic Winter Games are more than a competition — they are a testament to human resilience and global unity. We are thrilled to bring this historic event to audiences across the Caribbean and showcase our region’s athletes standing alongside the best in the world,” said Michael Look Tong, general manager at Rush Sports.

Caribbean viewers can watch Rush Sports and Rush Prime channels on Cable TV and OTT platforms, with major operators distributing the channels across the following markets:Aruba, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curaçao, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent & The Grenadines, St Barts, St Maarten, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, and the Turks & Caicos.
